Our Story
Silverbirch Designs & Renovations began where many great things do......between neighbours.
John and Dave first met years ago as handyman neighbours on Silverbirch Court in Burlington, Ontario. What started as helping each other with small projects quickly grew into helping friends and neighbours improve their homes. Their shared work ethic, trust, and pride in craftsmanship laid the groundwork for something bigger.
Both John and Dave spent decades in long-term careers as machinists and mechanics. These backgrounds shaped the way they approach their work today—bringing precision, problem-solving, and an unwavering attention to detail to every project.
In 2008, driven by a shared desire to build something of their own, they took the leap from the shop floor to the job site and officially founded Silverbirch Designs. What began as a small local operation has grown into a trusted renovation company serving homeowners, investors, and businesses throughout Burlington and the surrounding areas.
Today, John and Dave remain hands-on in every project, ensuring each space is built with care, precision, and pride.

Our Strategy
Silverbirch Designs follows a clear, collaborative process to ensure every project runs smoothly from start to finish. It begins with an initial client call, followed by an in-home visit where we measure the space and discuss design options, needs, and vision.
From there, we return to the studio and begin the design process, thoughtfully developing plans tailored to the client. The designs are then reviewed together, refined as needed, and approved, leading to final sign-off and deposit. Once approvals are complete, the building phase begins. After construction is finished, we move into installation, bringing the design to life. The process concludes with a beautifully completed space—and happy clients.
